Settled in the heart of the beautiful Mississippi Alluvial Valley, Five Oaks Duck Lodge has served as a world-renowned hunting operation for nearly 40 years.

George H. Dunklin, Jr., the owner and manager of Five Oaks Duck Lodge, accompanied his father on his first duck hunting trip at the age of eight- sparking a lifelong passion for the sport. George’s maternal grandfather, Lester A. Black, owned farmland near DeWitt, Arkansas, where George visited throughout his youth. Upon graduation from the University of Memphis, George moved to Arkansas county to farm the land, and he never left.

Although George has an affection for the sport of waterfowl hunting, his true passion lies within the world of conservation. If you were to sit down with him over a cup of coffee, he would be the first to tell you that his number one goal is to leave the land better than he found it. Because of his deepest desire to educate others on the importance of conserving our natural resources, George founded Five Oaks Ag Research and Education Center, a non-profit agricultural research and education organization. The goal of this incredible non-profit is to educate adults and youth alike on the importance of conservation efforts, as well as sparking an interest in the next generation of biologists, conservationists, and scientists.

Although George has established various goals and plans for the non-profit, organization, he never lost sight of the original “why.” Therefore, he is excited to announce our youth education program. Through hands-on learning day camps and exciting field trip opportunities, it his his sincerest hope that we, through Five Oaks Ag Research and Education Center, will have the opportunity to to help another eight or nine year old student unlock their passion in life.
